1. Make sure that your smartphone is connected to the WiFi network you want to connect Lift Mate to and tap on the settings icon.

 

2. Tap on the Wi-Fi icon

 

3. Scan for Wi-Fi networks

 

4. Select the Wi-Fi network you would like to connect Lift Mate to

 

5. Would you like to enable internet access as well?

You can decide if you would like to use Lift Mate on your local Wi-Fi network only (no data goes through the internet) OR if you would like to also be able to control and monitor your boat lift from anywhere in the world over the internet.

 

6. Wait for the Lift Mate app to connect to your Wi-Fi network

 

If the setup process is successful you'll see the IP address of your Lift Mate unit in a few seconds. If there was a problem, then you'll get an error message. The most common cause of failure is an incorrect password. Please make sure that the password you've entered is correct and try again if needed.

If the setup process was successful, you are ready to use Lift Mate via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and over the internet (depending on whether you selected "Yes" when asked about enabling the internet connection).
