Lift Mate Wiring Instructions For TEC II/AC Remote Box

Note: For TEC II Boxes without Auto-Run Functionality, the setup is the same except you skip items 5 & 6 below.

  1. Unplug Boat Lift To Insure Power To Control Box is Off
  2. Open TEC II/AC Box With Phillips Screwdriver (4 Screws)
  3. Visually Locate Green Low Voltage Receiver Board Mounted on Right Side Of Box
  4. Using A Pair Of Pliers, Carefully Crip On One T-Tap Connector (5 Total) To Each Of the Following Wires Coming Out of the Receiver Board Per The Installation Wiring Diagram
    1. 24VAC
    2. GND (Crimp Two T-Tap Connectors Along This Wire)
    3. CH1
    4. CH2
  5. Locate the red wire coming out of CH3 of receiver board that runs to the Auto-Run switch on the left side of the box.  Using a pair of wire snips, cut this wire halfway between both ends and strip the ends of the cut wire.
  6. Take the paired red / black wire coming out of the Lift Mate device and use the provided two wire nuts to connect the red and black wires to each end of the cut red CH3 wire.  Polarity does not matter.
  7. Take the power cable included in the Lift Mate packaging and connect the red plug end of the red wire to the installed T-Tap connector on the 24VAC wire.  Connect the red plug end of the black wire to one of the T-Tap connectors installed on the GND wire.
  8. Connect the blue Lift Mate wire to the T-Tap installed on the Orange CH1 wire.
  9. Connect the black Lift Mate wire to the second T-Tap installed on the GND wire.
  10. Connect the purple Lift Mate wire to the T-Tap installed on the Black CH2 wire.
  11. Connect the blue and red wires from the Lift Mate Limit Switch Sensor using a small regular screwdriver and adding the wire ends into the terminal blocks with the existing wires.  The blue wire goes into the lower terminal block right most terminal marked upper limit.  The red wire goes into the center terminal of the upper terminal block (under the transformer) as shown in the wiring diagram.
  12. Power up your lift.  The Lift Mate device flashing quickly means it has power and is ready for set up.  If the device LED is not on or flashing, you may need to check installation of the T-Tap connectors to insure they are crimped on to the wires properly.
  13. Download the Lift-Mate app and when at the home page, hit the button to install a new device.  The app will automatically set up the device.  Please go to our Support Page: Interface Configuration Settings for an explanation of proper settings for your particular lift configuration.

The support page has a video showing how to install the T-Tap Connectors.  The plug ends have already been crimped on the appropriate wires from the Lift Mate device.
